Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Nov. 7
The 2009 inductees are a list of athletes and builders that are household names with Nova Scotia sport fans. University basketball stars Mickey Fox and Brian Heaney, along with the '76 Acadia Basketball team bring back memories of basketball’s heydays in the province. Jody Hennigar, not only one of the best softball players to come out of Nova Scotia, but one of the best in the world. Former two-time Grey Cup winner, Bruce Beaton, will there on hand to receive his induction, as will golfing sensation, Gordie Smith. In the builders category, Saint Mary’s Roy Clements and Pictou County ’s multi-sport coach, Gus Fahey, will be inducted.
